[opensuse] mount error
Hello, In 10.3 I could mount an internal server. In 11.0 (KDE4) it gives an error. Can anyone help me with a solution? The folder /mnt/film exists. mount -t cifs //gerver/film /mnt/film/ mount error: could not find target server. TCP name gerver/film not found No ip address specified and hostname not found Regards, André -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org

mount -t cifs //gerver/film /mnt/film/ mount error: could not find target server. TCP name gerver/film not found
Here's your answer:
No ip address specified and hostname not found
What happens when you try: ping -c 3 gerver -- Ken Schneider SuSe since Version 5.2, June 1998 -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org

Did you add gerver and its IP address in /etc/hosts ?? Michel. -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org

I typed "smb://gerver" in the addressbar and it connected perfectly . When I do it today Konqueror says: "Protocol not supported, smb". So maybe I did something else yesterday?
