What type connection do you have? How were you trying, with a web browser? If so, try a real downloader like curl or wget. Real downloaders offer reconnect for broken or otherwise interrupted fetches, and can save what you fetched exactly instead of pretending it's brand new as of when the download completed. -- The husband should fulfill his marital duty to his wife, and likewise the wife to her husband. 1 Corinthians 7:3 NIV Team OS/2 ** Reg. I just think that you were download it from a broken mirror. Wait for about a day or two or just pick another mirror. -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org

Maybe because you are trying to download with a browser that is not able to do more than 4GB. Are you trying with Windows and IE? Read the page for troubleshooting download problems: http://en.opensuse.org/Download_Help

Delete the original file, do a hard refresh of the page (shift+F5) and if that doesn't work, try renaming the file when it downloads (right click and "save as").

What browser would that be? I've downloaded DVD images with Firefox, Konqueror and (yes) Lynx. I'm not sure what would cause a browser to be unable to download beyond a certain size except for disk space unless the coders specifically put in that limitation, and I'm baffled as to why they'd do that. I'm tempted to see if Mosaic still builds and try it with that. Hey, that does sound cool. Now I gotta find the Mosaic source. -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org

you missed one browser....perhaps the gent is still using Redmond's Finest, Internet Exploder.. and, maybe not even the latest and greatest (system or exploder).. and, maybe on a fat16 system.. Any browser that uses a 32-bit value for a file size or offset, even as part of an intermediate step.

A(n unsigned) 32-bit value can represent up to 4GiB - 1. If a larger value is stored in it, it stores that value modulo 4GiB. This can cause a file transfer of 4GiB + 251M to terminate after only 251M. -- Boyd Stephen Smith Jr. ,= ,-_-. =. bss@iguanasuicide.net ((_/)o o(\_)) ICQ: 514984 YM/AIM: DaTwinkDaddy `-'(. .)`-' http://iguanasuicide.net/ \_/

Just one more little detail that managed to pass me by over the years. Thanks. -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org
