problems with kmail
hello folks i'm using kmail and have been for about a month or so i love it but suddenly when i ask to get new mail the little window appears and says it is retrieving mail but then i can't find it in my "inbox" any ideas would be greatly appreciated one more thing i am able to retrieve from my Mac for it would be silly to ask for help if i could not read it thanks and cheers

Hi :) . . . I had similar probs, which solved by : 1. made folder called "NewMail" 2. Pointed settings to use "New Mail", instead of InBox -- best wishes --- ____________ sent on Linux ____________

I too, found this behaviour when using fetchmail and pine. In a console window, run mailq. if you see all your mail, just waiting to be delivered, run (as root) `sendmail -q`. The mail will be delivered to your personal inbox. Edit /etc/sendmail.cf, changing the deliverymode from 'deferred' to 'background'. restart sendmail and you should regain your expected behaviour.

thank you all so much for the replys to my questions i tried this: logged out as user then in as root out as root and then loggeds back in as user and for some weird reason it worked any ideas why is it resetting itself? cheers and thank you all rrmp
