I had samba working fine as a domain controller under Caldera linux, but have just upgraded to 8.2. Now it doesn't seem to want to work (atleast I can't get it to server up any profiles anyway). Does the version that ships with 8.2 work as a PDC? Thanks. Peter Nunn.

Yes it does (at least for me). I have one XP box and one 98 box that both are working properly with a Samba PDC. Both do network logins and roaming profiles. There are differences in how to setup samba for 9x and NT based profiles however, so you might check that. It has to do with "logon path" and "logon home". -- Kelly L. Fulks Home Account

Thanks.
