Hi: When I attempt to call a perl program in Konqueror, Netscape, Lynx, it looks for, then the dialog box says, "Could not create view for application/x-perl - Check your installation" What is that? Check what? The command I am trying to run is: http://localhost/sql-ledger/admin.pl Any ideas? thanks, Tom
Check your web server installation, and make sure the sql-ledger dir is set up as a cgi directory. Also check that it can handle perl. On apache this usually means installing mod_perl regards Anders On Friday 19 October 2001 23.29, tom poe wrote:

Hi: Bingo! Exactly. Thanks. When I have booted, mod_perl is not installed. When I SuSEconfig'd, it said: "ATTENTION: You have modified /etc/httpd/httpd.conf. Leaving it untouched... You can find my version in /etc/httpd/httpd.conf.SuSEconfig..." So, I'm off on Yet Another Exciting Adventure [looks a lot like Aeeeyaea, as he drops into the computer abyss . . .]. Thanks, much, Tom
