[opensuse] How to switch gnome menu back to standard look
Hey Guys, Quick quick, I am having issue with the new menu style of gnome and kde in 10.2, only because I use my box work and need to be able to grab a problem quickly and the new style is slowing way way down. I have found out in KDE how to switch back to old style. But gnome, I don't see anyway of doing. -- -- Command, n.: Statement presented by a human and accepted by a computer in such a manner as to make the human feel as if he is in control. -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org

That's because in GNOME it's not a case of switching, you can have both at the same time (I do). Right click on your panel and select Add to panel Main Menu is the new-look menu Menu Bar is the old-style menu bar -- James Ogley james@usr-local-bin.org http://usr-local-bin.org GNOME for openSUSE: http://repos.opensuse.org/GNOME:/ Help end poverty: http://oxfam.org.uk/in -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org

On the bottom bar, add-applet gnome-traditional menu. I'm not sure how to k.o. the standard menu though. -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org

Simple to remove current menu. Right-click on "Computer" in the panel and select "Remove from Panel". Done. -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org
