Hi all hackers !
Yesterday I googled for "Comparison of Firewalls" and found nothing. I was very upset about it, so decided to create one article, and put in Wikipedia.
But since, I am only 1 man, I don't know everything about firewalls.
The article's target is to compare features of all Firewalls, both Home and Enterprise must be put to test.
I would like productive discussion about it, what you like and what dislike, and please add data about some firewalls you know... like ZoneAlarm, BlackIce, whatever you know...
The article is here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Comparison_of_Firewalls
-any feedback ?

Whatever is in Linksys Firewall Router, BEFXS41, which I have heard is an embedded Linux, works well. This seems to me to be a better solution than putting an individual firewall on all computers, or routing everything thru one computer, especially if you don't know anything about networking--like me. --doug

No need to put the wall on ALL machines on your LAN. I use a standalone Firewall/router machine running Shorewall (Linuxbased with iptables) with two NIC's and thus i only have one point of admin. It protects my private 10 machine LAN And its damned easy to admin. -- /Rikard ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- email : rikard.j@rikjoh.com web : http://www.rikjoh.com mob: : +46 (0)763 19 76 25 ------------------------ Public PGP fingerprint ---------------------------- < 15 28 DF 78 67 98 B2 16 1F D3 FD C5 59 D4 B6 78 46 1C EE 56 >
