[opensuse] xsane problem on suse 11.1
I've gone back to the original xsane, gotten the latest from the repositories and still the same problem. Using multipage to create a PDF, scanning at any size (primarily need letter port) at 0 rotation works But put rotation at 90 - no pnm file gets created. This option is critical for the scanning I need. Nope, absolutely nothing from the console. The weird part is that it does the scan and says its doing the rotation and creates an image name entry (for the multipage to PDF). When I try and show the image - its blank. Also, when I click on saving multipage file - it says "saving file" and just sits there. Just tested it out (xsane version 0.996), I have no problems doing it. Did you do a "File"-> "Save Image" in the "Edit Image" window after the rotation? Charles -- "Linux: the operating system with a CLUE... Command Line User Environment". (seen in a posting in comp.software.testing)

I tried rotating directly in the preview window too and I have no problems creating a viewable multi-page pdf. Can you run xsane with: ,---- | strace -o ~/xsane.log xsane `---- ,try creating a multi-page pdf and post ~/xsane.log? Also can you scan normally with no rotation?
