[opensuse] pidgin for 10.2?
Hi All, It appears pidgin 2.1.1 (successor to gaim) is included with openSUSE 10.3. Does anyone know if there are any plans to backport it for 10.2 and/or earlier? I only ask because I've had gaim shut down (*not* crash, but actually sign out and close) apparently on it's own, and b) twice, now, I've attempted to open a chat with a relative and Vista has responded by promptly shutting down on him. I might have found the second strange behavior humorous if I knew why it was happening and that it was safe, but the interrupted correspondence /was/ important. TIA & regards, Carl -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org

Thanks, Patrick. It's *great*... /especially/ if you know how to use it! ;-) I used the web interface at http://benjiweber.co.uk:8080/webpin/ and it returned only packages for 10.3. I didn't see the openSUSE version checkboxes in the banner/searchbox background until going back, just now. On a related note: From the pidgin main website: "2.2.1 is out. It fixes a crash that can be triggered remotely on MSN in 2.2.0. If you are using 2.2.0, you should upgrade immediately. See our security advisory for details. (advisory at http://www.pidgin.im/news/security/?id=23) Anyone know if this fix has been incorporated into the version shipping with 10.3? Thanks again!
