Just wondering if anyone is using an asus cdrw drive with suse 8 or 8.1. I have access to a spare 32x12x40 burner an want to use with suse. just installed 8.1 an its in the system. have not checked to make sure it was detected an setup for ide-scsi emulation yet. thanks for info jack
Well I dropped this beast into the server an it works fine with KreateCD, it works an has the cdrw in the list od devices. Just seems to write at 16x as the fastest speed even though its a 32x. Have not tried the rewrite part yet, I copied a cd with no problems. So if anyone is looking at this drive it works. jack At 03:17 PM 11/14/2002 -0600, jack malone wrote:

KreateCD is limited to 16x for some reason, never understood why nobody fixed that part as all the other burning programs go higher. KreateCD has always been my copier of choice too as I seem to always get the best results using that one, especially with difficult originals.
