This problem might not be a kmail issue but I think it is because it does not happen with other X window applications. When i do a ssh -X -l someuser someSuSEbox and then quit kmail, and then logout with either "logout" or "exit" the terminal window on the remote machine hangs. Here is the output: info@libros:~> kmail Xlib: extension "XInputExtension" missing on display "localhost:10.0". Failed to get list of devices kbuildsycoca running... My guess is that kmail is not closing some socket since port forwarding keeps the connection open till all tunneled sockets are closed. When i do a
ssh -X -l someuser someSuSEbox
and then quit kmail, and then logout with either "logout" or "exit" the terminal window on the remote machine hangs.
What happens if you don't allocate a terminal on the remote machine, just simply invoke kmail via ssh?
