-----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE----- Hash: SHA1 Well, I congratulated SuSE too soon, I guess!! I think there were some posts here about OO and SO segfaulting.....yep...sure does!! I even tried the StarOffice 6.1 beta. This is a real problem for me, as I MUST have OO to use!! Does anyone at SuSE have a fix for this?! Not sure about this, since I don't have 8.2 yet, but have you tried creating a test user, with a fresh OO workstation install, and try that? Where does SO segfault? I reinstalled SO 6.0 plus Sun updates after a clean 8.2 installation and have had no problems for a whole week (living on the edge of Europe, it's nice to get something before the US for a change). -- JDL Non enim propter gloriam, diuicias aut honores pugnamus set propter libertatem solummodo quam Nemo bonus nisi simul cum vita amittit.

Hi Fred, Hmm, On my 8.2 box, I installed SuSE 8.2 and I installed OO-1.0.3 which I downloaded from OO.org - I did not use the OO shipped by SuSE. In fact, I never use the SuSE rpm of OO. I had to edit the .sversionrc file to include the 'yet-unknown' 1.0.3 release, but since that no problems. I could work on OO Impress w/o problems. Cheers .... I installed SO 6.0 from a CD and added the patch2 to it and it seems to run fine. Anything I can try that will make it segfault?

<snip> Might be worth downloading OO from their web site and installing. Mysql packaged with SuSE does not work well. The version from mysql.com runs fine. LW999
