RE: [SLE] Not happy w suse suppt (help)
Ben, it's great you monitor this list in your own time, and it speaks volumes for SuSE as a good company that it breeds such loyalty, but perhaps you should think carefully about using your company email account. People may assume you speak in an 'official capacity', and official spokespeople are usually reluctant to use expressions that include 'heads in orifaces'!! ;-) k. Well, I was not trying to be "abusive" or "brush" anyone off. I report a lot of bugs and help a lot of people on this list. I do it in my sparetime at home and I try to be a good advocate within SuSE for the complaints and concerns of the users on this list. I don't have to do such things. I am not required to be on this list or to help anyone on this list.
I was just get a little more then annoyed when people say that tech support doesn't care about the concerns of the users. The tech support dept. fights constantly for the users. I guess I will just have to be more careful about who I help for free and who I help on my OWN time. I will again pass on your concerns to the developers about the faxing situation and I am sorry you felt ignored.
Here are the pages in the manual for the cover tech support under "basic installation"...
SuSE 6.4 manual pages 491-498 SuSE 7.0 manual page 519-526
I am sorry I didn't nicely type these pages out in my last mail.
SuSE trys to give customers the best service we can..but again we are only human and we can only try our best.

Yes, you are right. I shouldn't have quoted such a statement.
