[opensuse] Upload/download files from public domain using Apache server
I would like to use an open source project in order to securely upload/download files from public domain using Apache server. Could you give some suggestions? -- Bogdan Cristea -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org

I'm not sure I've understood your question, but how about ftp? /Per Jessen, Zürich -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org
Yes, this could be a solution, but I would like something allowing to
do user authentication and file transfer in a secure way, like sftp.

Use vsftp or scp or rsync. All are already available in the opensuse distribution. If your users need point and click, then I would recommend that you set up vsftp. This will allow your users to use konqueror, or gftp as a client on linux or, heaven forbid, windows explorer on the other side. If they are cli competent, then have them use scp or rsync. As long as you have ssh enabled, both scp and rsync work by default. -- David C. Rankin, J.D., P.E. Or have them use filezilla - available for linux, mac and peecee, it can handle ftp, sftp, ftps, and scp Joe -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org
