Hi all! Im trying to have TeamSpeak and Quake3 to work at the same time on my SuSE 9.0 pc. I have searched the internet for info but nothing seems to help :( I have an Nvidia Nforce2 motherboard with integrated sound. The latest Nvidia drivers are installed. TeamSpeak by it self is working fin and so i Quake3. But if i start TeamsSpeak and the start Quake3, Quake gets no access to the dev. = no sound. TeamsSpeak whants to send and receive, quake gets locked out. How do i solve this? Ive seen stuff about linking devs around, i have tired but it doesnt work for me. To be honest i cant figure out how sound in Linux works :D Regards /Mattias

Soundcards without output multiplexors like Creative Live! or Audigy need a software multiplexer like esound or arts. If you're using KDE, you already have arts running. To use it, the software either needs to support it directly (like for instance xmms) or you can try supplied scripts like artsdsp that redirect sound to arts. To use it simply call the program in question via artsdsp, i.e. something like 'artsdsp q3'. You would need to start both TeamsSpeak and Quake3 via artsdsp in order to use both in parallel. Philipp
