[S.u.S.E. Linux] Lotus SmartSuite for Linux?
I recently sent a product request to Lotus to create a Linux version of SmartSuite. I am hoping that if enough people make the same request the folks at Lotus will give it some serious consideration. It would be greatly appreciated if the list members could also send a similar request. If for no other reason then to get more software choices for Linux. I work for a large company where the office software standard on 20,000 PCs is SmartSuite 3.1. They are planning a move to SmartSuite97 under NT - at huge expense in new hardware and NT licences :( This is a shame as SmartSuite is something that is rock solid (as well as any 16 bit Windows app could be said to be) under Wabi. If Lotus were to make a native X Smartsuite98 then those of us who do not want to see more power to Microsoft would be able to push forward 20,000 Linux systems instead.
