I'm trying to configure access to a CD-RW on SuSE 7.3 (2.4.10) from a Windows 2000 client. Is this the correct forum for this discussion? If not, does anyone know of a Samba newsgroup or forum? If this is the right forum... I'm using user level shares and have successfully shared out directories and both a CD-ROM and the CD-RW and can read CDs just fine. I'm having what might be a security problem trying to write to the CD-RW. The SimpliCD software on the client is trying to save Image.ISO, which I assume is the CD image. When I navigate to the mounted CD-RW drive I get the following message: \\pspec\cdrw\Image.ISO Cannot access the file. Check security privileges over the network drive. Thanks, in advance for your help, Jim Jim Goode 972-964-4831 jimgoode@quixnet.net
I don't think its been mentioned on this list...Sun has an update for Star Office 6.0 on their web site ( www.sun.com ). It's just under 30 megs in size and addresses a lot of bug fixes. It just came out a week or so ago and there hasn't been a lot of advertising about it. -- Zach "Coming to you live from SuSE Linux 8.0"
