VMware 4.5.2 on Suse 9.1 with MultiProcessor machine
Hey all Have any of you installed VMware 4.5.2 on SuSE 9.1 with a MP machine ? It seems the provided "vmmon modules" dont't match my config and I need to build new ones but then the VMware-config.pl keeps asking me where the C header files for my kernel resides And I don't have a clue ! Anyone ? -- Le Je-Pe

Yes. I have VMWare running the the default kernel-smp-2.6.4-52 kernel and also the latest kernel-source-2.6.5-7.95.

Did you install the kernel source for your kernel? If so then you should be ok with the following (taken from the list, BTW) make cloneconfig ; make prepare ; vmware-config.pl

The subject was SusE 9.1, which has a 2.6 kernel. That reference to "make dep" means you have a 2.4 kernel. There, you should run "make dep", as it says
