multi serial port card problem
Hi All, I’ve got a Moxa CP-114 4x port (RS232/RS422/RS485) card installed on a machine running SuSE 9.3. It uses the mxser kernel module version 1.8. I have tried the module which shipped with SuSE 9.3 and the one on the Moxa website with the same result. lspci lists the card. dmesg and /var/log/messages shows that the driver was installed. I cannot see any errors around it. The driver uses /dev/ttyM0 to /dev/ttyM3 for serial communication. These devices were created. #stty –a

The Moxa utilities show that the driver is loaded and the card should be working but I cannot get any data from it through RS232 or RS422.
Does anyone have any experience with the Moxa CP-114 or have any pointers where I can start looking?
Sorry, I gave up on Moxa about 6 months ago. In the later versions of the kernel, I was never able to get it to work inspite working with Moxa for over a year to make it work. They never made it. For one thing, it will not run on an SMP kernel. Maybe that will give you a clue. I spent $15 for a dual-port pci board. Works fine *without* having to make any system changes.
