Is there something like synaptic or apt-get for 64bit?
I'm trying to upgrade my kde to 3.3 from the version that came on the CD. As I start getting into it, I'm noticing the inevitable missing dependencies. As I download them I find I need more and more. Synaptic used to take care of this on the 32bit version but I guess it doesn't work on the 64bit version. Is there anythng that WILL work? This dependency thing is killing me. Yast2, but you have to follow the dependencies. Oh, oh. I forgot, you don't want me to respond. they have one. Do your searches thru google.com/linux and, when searching for info from the list, use 'lists:suse.com' and/or 'site:suse.com' as one of the search parameters. Makes it *much* easier looking for something posted previous to the list. note: not in TFM (to my knowledge) -- Patrick Shanahan Registered Linux User #207535 http://wahoo.no-ip.org @ http://counter.li.org HOG # US1244711 Photo Album: http://wahoo.no-ip.org/photos

Tom, I just got apt to build on my x86_64. I could send you the rpms if desired. I will be working on synaptic next. ;-) -- Joe Morris New Tribes Mission Email Address: Joe_Morris@ntm.org Registered Linux user 231871
