I'm trying to use SuSE Help under 10.0 (it worked under 9.1 before the upgrade), but whenever I do a search I get the messages: Release Notes Error opening search program '/srv/www/cgi-bin//htsearchwrapper.cgi'. SUSE Linux Documentation (en) Error opening search program '/srv/www/cgi-bin//htsearchwrapper.cgi'. Start-Up (en) Error opening search program '/srv/www/cgi-bin//htsearchwrapper.cgi'. Reference (en) Error opening search program '/srv/www/cgi-bin//htsearchwrapper.cgi'. Gimp user manual Error opening search program '/srv/www/cgi-bin//htsearchwrapper.cgi'. Manpages Error opening search program '/srv/www/cgi-bin//mansearch.cgi'. PHP documentation Error opening search program '/srv/www/cgi-bin//htsearchwrapper.cgi'. I've created the search index, so that's not the problem. Any suggestions? Paul

On my 10.0 system, htsearchwrapper.cgi lives in /usr/share/susehelp/cgi-bin, as do the other CGIs in your list. Kurt -- "No one gets too old to learn a new way of being stupid."

I'm not sure what to tell you because it works here. I created the search index and then searched for some terms and got results and no error messages. :-\ Kurt -- Only God can make random selections.

I just noticed that the path has a double slash following cgi-bin, and learned that the correct location of htsearchwrapper.cgi is:
/srv/www/cgi-bin/susehelp/htsearchwrapper.cgi
So apparently Susehelp is screwing up the path, but I have no idea where the path comes from.
I found it in /etc/kde3/share/config/susehelprc, and the problem was that I needed to replace susehelprc with susehelprc.rpmnew. Paul
