[opensuse] libreoffice on NFS
12.1 Hi Files on a share can only be opened ro in libreoffice. We can however open the same (correctly rw) in abiword. We can also read-write to the same directory at the cli. The google minefield on nfs-libreoffice-locking is prevalent, but does anyone else have anything more us specific? If it is related to locking, you might try to set SAL_ENABLE_FILE_LOCKING=0 in /usr/lib(64)/libreoffice/program/soffice If you read the script, it is set to "1" by default. A better fix would be to allow locking on the nfs server. I am not expert here. In the past there was needed a lock daemon. It might be solved another way on modern systems. Hi Thanks for the reminder. We had: local_lock=all on the client. Setting to local_lock=none (or just don't mention local_lock) got us back up again. L x -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse+owner@opensuse.org
