In YaST, add 'ftp://packman.unixheads.com/suse/10.1' as an installation source. Then install mplayer through the Software Management, YaST should resolve all the necessary dependencies for you. If you want wma support, be sure to install w32codecs as well. -- Jake Sallee spark@breathedeeply.com www.breathedeeply.com Registered Linux User #358012 http://counter.li.org Open SuSE Linux http://www.opensuse.org K Desktop Environment http://www.kde.org Firefox Web Browser http://www.mozilla.org/firefox -- Check the headers for your unsubscription address For additional commands send e-mail to suse-linux-e-help@suse.com Also check the archives at http://lists.suse.com Please read the FAQs: suse-linux-e-faq@suse.com

Hello Jay, You could install the latest MPlayer from source (1.0pre8), which compiles with gcc4. Remember to get the codecs and font tarballs (and skins, if you want the GUI) as well. -- Regards, Aveek Bhattacharya M.Tech., Electrical Engineering, IIT Bombay -- Check the headers for your unsubscription address For additional commands send e-mail to suse-linux-e-help@suse.com Also check the archives at http://lists.suse.com Please read the FAQs: suse-linux-e-faq@suse.com

But there is no compatible mplayer-plugin, at least not for 64 bit! -- Check the headers for your unsubscription address For additional commands send e-mail to suse-linux-e-help@suse.com Also check the archives at http://lists.suse.com Please read the FAQs: suse-linux-e-faq@suse.com
