9.2 Upgrade (and a question about encryption)
The Upgrade version of 9.2 sells for $59.99 at Amazon, but is priced at $59.95 at Novell! The difference is that you can order the upgrade version from Amazon buy, apparently, not from Novell. Question: The 9.2 on offer is advertised as 128 bit encryption. What is that all about, and what practical difference does it make to the buyer? Thanks dj tuchler

My guess is that because Amazon is an American company, it has to comply with some of the goofy U.S. export controls on software that supports encryption. I'll bet they won't ship it outside of the country (or at least not to people on the 'enemies' list).

The true meaning of the 2nd Amendment: We have (and fully exercise) the right to shoot ourselves in the foot. RRS
Thats simple once out we can download the patch.
I have always gotten pgp from the swiss site.
Our sillyness is based on the declaration of encryption to be munitions
same as shells for howitzers.

"sillyness" ?? Present day perhaps, but old histories die hard. There was a time when encryption techniques were valuable and very sensitive to national defenses everywhere, ie: enigma from wwII. The day when we no longer find it necessary to be so secretive will truly make your statement fact, but present day you know not what you say.
