Mysql and PHP scripts in users public_html directory ??
Hi all, I've just tried installing a script that uses PHP and mysql directly in my user account in the directory ~/public_html/ It seems at though i'm not allowed to execute scripts directly from the public_html ?? but from subdirectories below public_html PHP works ??? Any pointers ? i'm trying to install mediawiki (the one used in wikipedia). Regards Lasse
What kind of script is it, and do you have them in *.html- or *.php-files? Perhaps I've missed something in the configuration of Apache2 but I myself can't run PHP-scripts in *.html-files, only in *.php-files. In other words, change the file extension from '.html' to '.php' and it works :-) /Lars Lasse Kim Christiansen wrote:
