ACPI and Frozen-Bubble
Hey Group; I know that acpi has been a pain. However, I have a friend with a SuSE9.0 Toshiba LapTop which requires acpi to make the sound modules work. A check of "lsmod" confirms that the sound module will only work if acpi is available. He has 3Ddiag showing that 3D is working whith a Nvidia driver. Problem is that serveral games with sound enable will lock up the Xserver and KDE. Games like Frozen-Bubble fail to connect to the sound driver. Calling up kmix also showed no volume controls. Sound is working and can be proven with KDE boot sound. Anyone have a suggestion? -- 73 de Donn Washburn __ " http://www.hal-pc.org/~n5xwb " Ham Callsign N5XWB / / __ __ __ __ __ __ __ 307 Savoy St. / /__ / / / \/ / / /_/ / \ \/ / Sugar Land, TX 77478 /_____/ /_/ /_/\__/ /_____/ /_/\_\ LL# 1.281.242.3256 a MSDOS Virus "Free Zone" OS Email: n5xwb@hal-pc.org " http://counter.li.org " #279316

Sunday? The internal headers say Thursday, 20 of november: Received: from lists.suse.com (195.135.221.131) by netmail.tiscalinet.es (6.7.018) ; Thu, 20 Nov 2003 05:08:16 +0100 Received: (qmail 27662 invoked by alias); 20 Nov 2003 04:08:04 -0000 That's two different servers saying a different date from yours. I think your email must have been delayed in exit from your machine, your provider, or inside suse's server. Or, you have the date in your computer way way wrong. -- Cheers, Carlos Robinson
