popup and popunder stoppers for Konq?
Until now, did not have popunder problems with Konqueror, but a batch of them showed up tonite. Is there a patch that will catch and stop these? Where and how? --doug

Good one! Anders, a popunder is a popup that puts itself under the window that caused it to start. This means, that while you continue to surf in the browser window you opened, one to many can be hiding underneath. -- Patrick Gross Maple Valley, WA

Cool, then just block it with the regular konqi popup blocker in Settings->configure konqueror->java&javascript->javascript->Open New Windows (set it to "ask" or "deny")

Set it to smart. That allows popups if you specifically click a link. -- _____________________________________ John Andersen

I know, but smart is the default, and since he didn't know about the option I assumed he still had it set to it and still saw the problem with the oz cola

No, I don't think smart is the default. I just did a fresh install of 9.1 today on a clean drive and was supprised to see pop-ups when I hit some sites that use them. -- _____________________________________ John Andersen
Actually, it was me who raised the question originally, and when I got the answer, I found smart was _not_ set--nothing was set in that window. We'll see how it works now that I've set it to smart. Thanx for the assistance, all. --doug On Wednesday 23 June 2004 03:40, Anders Johansson wrote:

It is a window under the browser that you see when you close the browser. Very annoying..... Henry Harpending
