Can somebody tell me which files or packages I need in order to successfully use my Mystique 220 with SuSE Linux 5.0?
you need the xsuse-matrox server from suse-ftp and the suse-xconfig, to configure everything...
or you need the new version of xfree with the svga-server, the xsuse-matrox is implemented in this one...this xfree version is included in suse 5.2 which will be released the next days and youŽll find it on suse-ftp
so far...
Right - I have those files (XSuSE_Matrox and xsuseconfig) and have 'installed' them using YaST. By install, I mean I have selected 'Install Packages' using YaST, and pointed it towards the .gz files, and then it copied them to my X11 directory. I think that's what it did. Now what? I have been told to configure the server using the xsuseconfig file - how do I do that? If I run XF86Setup, there is no option to select the XSuSE_Matrox server. I can manually execute XSuSE_Matrox, which results in a weird screen where I can switch resolutions using Ctrl-Del-+ / - but that's as far as I get. Any suggestions on where to go now?
