Hi there, There's this window$ program called Offline Explorer that allows you to download an entire website - it actually copies the whole thing, URL's included, onto your harddrive. I was wondering if there's a similar tool for Linux as well. Thanks, -- Yatsen Ng yatsen.ng@brunel.nl Den Haag, The Netherlands It said "Needs Windows 95 or better". wget can do that. If you're looking at browsing, you might also like to see the wwwoffle storing/prefetching/caching/proxy project (included with SuSE). -- -=|JP|=- Jon Pennington | Atipa Linux Solutions -o) jpennington@atipa.com | Kansas City, MO /\\ 816-241-2641 x107 | http://www.atipa.com _\_V -- To unsubscribe send e-mail to suse-linux-e-unsubscribe@suse.com For additional commands send e-mail to suse-linux-e-help@suse.com Also check the FAQ at http://www.suse.com/Support/Doku/FAQ/

For a starter, try wget, it's on the CD.

Beside wget, I would recommend wwwoffle, which is also on 6.3. Package Description: Summary : WWWOFFLE - World Wide Web Offline Explorer Description : A proxy HTTP server for computers with dial-up internet access. - Caching of pages viewed while connected for review later. - Browsing of cached pages while not connected, with the ability to follow links and mark other pages for download. - Downloading of specified pages non-interactively. - Multiple indices of pages stored in cache for easy selection. - Interactive or command line option to select pages for fetching individually or recursively. - All options controlled using a simple configuration file with a web page to edit it.
