I looked in /etc/sysconf/SuSEfirewall2 and and found
FW_SERVICES_EXT_TCP = "ntp"
I thought ntp traffic was UDP and added FW_SERVICES_EXT_UDP = "ntp" and it seems to be OK.

No. I have FW_SERVICES_EXT_UDP = "ntp" but not FW_SERVICES_EXT_TCP = "ntp" and NTP works just fine.
How do I set FW_SERVICES_EXT_UDP from YAST?
I don't think you can. -- JDL
