What is the best way of editing xpm files, given the current bug in Gimp that prevents saving an xpm file? Suse 9.1 Prof, 2.6.5-7.111.19-smp, gimp-2.0.0-11. I just want to make simple hue/lightness/saturation changes. - Richard -- Richard Kimber http://www.psr.keele.ac.uk/

In KDE try KIconEdit, it works quite nicely for me. .Gif and whatever will load (see file, save as..). Mike

Thanks. That will let me edit pixels, but I'm looking for something that will do a quick hue change on a series of files. - Richard. -- Richard Kimber http://www.psr.keele.ac.uk/

Hi Richard, try DigiCam's Image editor. It is good for basic editing. Also, here is the 2.0.6 version of gimp for SuSE 9.1 Here you can find gimp-2.0.6 rpm for 9.1 ftp://ftp.gwdg.de/pub/linux/suse/apt/SuSE/9.1-i386/RPMS.suser-guru Sunny -- Try the best browser, get Firefox now: http://tinyurl.com/5a878

Thanks, but I couldn't find any rpm with that name, either with Google or rpm.pbone.net. All I could find was gimp2-2.0.6-2.guru.suse90.src.rpm Is there a 9.1 binary? - Richard. -- Richard Kimber http://www.psr.keele.ac.uk/

Build it yourself. Install the 9.0 src or extract the gimp.spec file for the 9.0 src and build the rpm on your system, then install it. -- Patrick Shanahan Registered Linux User #207535 http://wahoo.no-ip.org @ http://counter.li.org HOG # US1244711 Photo Album: http://wahoo.no-ip.org/photos
