on Wed, 6 Jun 2001 08:08:21 -0500 the only thing im getting is "operating system not found". vmware runs POST and everything seems to be fine, but it's not finding my operating system.
Do you have a floppy in your drive? I was trying to figure out the other day why all my VMware operating systems disappeared, and realized that they were trying to boot off the floppy. My bios was configured to ignore it, but the vmware ones weren't... The dents are still in the wall from where I beat my head against it. I am reminded of this each time I boot Win98. There is a program in AUTOEXEC.BAT that came with the computer and it checks the BIOS manufacturer and complains that it doesn't match the vendor that made the computer.
