[SLE] Wvdial.dod problems after installing aaa_base update
Hello - I have been using wvdial.dod quite successfully for several months on a 6.3 system. Yesterday, I updated a few of the programs from the SuSE website, include aaa_base. This seems to have caused a number of problems, some of which I have managed to repair. However, I still cannot get wvdial.dod to work. When I start up, my console now gives an error "pppd[214]: unrecognized option '192.168.99.99'. And when I start wvdial.dod manually as root, I get all of the same messages as previously, except for the following: "ls: /var/run/ppp?.pid: No such file or directory". Wvdial dial-on-demand no longer works. Any suggestions on how to fix this? Once you replace it with the one from the German package, it will work. Rolando - Thanks for the suggestion. Wvdial works by itself. There is something about the dial on demand part that is now broken. Harry
