This appears to be the suckiest piece of linux software I have ever worked with. Any mistake in the config file, and it dies with "Segmentation Fault" when attempting to start it. I cannot erase anything from /var/lib/dhcpd.leases, because it will segfault. Now, it wrote some damn stuff in that file that it own self doesn't like and segfaults all the time. Next, I'll try recompiling it from source rpm. And, besides, I saw on the ISC site that all versions before 3.0.1rc9 have a security bug that could give remote root. Is the SuSE version patched, even if it's older? Yes, I wrote to feedback@suse about that. No response. Why doesn't SuSE have a bugzilla site? It seems that one email address for all problems is largely inefficient. -- Silviu Marin-Caea Systems Engineer Linux/Unix http://www.genesys.ro Phone +4093-267961

I get the same error with fax2tiff program! but in my case there isn`t any config. file....

did the same, no response neither to me.

I agree with this. I think there must be a way to comunicate bugs to SuSe, as I tried to use the support for my problem, and they said me that that isn`t covered by the suport, but I think in my case the problem is the SuSe 8.0.... as I think to be able to confiugre linux well....
