Was just looking at the specifications for the Kodak EasyShare 3.2-Megapixel 3x Digital Zoom Digital Camera as I await the rest of the family readying for church. (Need a birthday gift for my sweet wife.) They list all of the M$ and Mac compatibility information but fail to even mention Linux. Since these cameras interface easily with Linux, at least with SuSE 9 Pro, why is it that they do not list that as an added marketing tool? Perhaps the folks at SuSE, and we as users, should contact Kodak and encourage them to include SuSE 9/Linux in their marketing materials? -- dmc

I have a DX3600 which is working fine on SuSE and Mandrake for quite a few years. My guess is that they may not have the necessary Linux skills and adding Linux to the list would involve them in solving any problems customers have. Perhaps enough requests could get them to look into testing on Linux. Regards Sid. -- Sid Boyce .... Hamradio G3VBV and keen Flyer Linux Only Shop.

It would also broaden awareness of SuSE/Linux compatibility with popular consumer devices. We can use all of that we can get! dmc

Sorry, not a good enough excuse. I'm starting to see the disclaimer when linux is listed "no support given" thats all any company has to do, just a simple statement "hey, some people got it to work in linux, but we only support Redmond and Jobs" Joe - -- SuSE Linux 9.0 (i586) Kernel: 2.4.21-166-default / i686 | Posted from: Miverna 5:37am up 3 days 4:22, 2 users, load average: 1.89, 1.79, 1.79 Security check: INTRUDER ALERT! nqs@tmcom.com | http://tigger.tmcom.com/~nqs/blogger.html -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v1.2.2 (GNU/Linux) iD8DBQFAVbIVoS1S7SxfpzwRApeeAJ9Bd1jH8grxWp8TYKbWeRmtsNTfYACgqB9C uJ+q5NoEuWfG4mr4g/1hlQI= =aQ4Q -----END PGP SIGNATURE-----
