SCSI Controller Configuration Error
I'm having difficulty adding a second SCSI controller to my SuSE 9.2 Pro system. The existing controller works just fine, FYI it's a DPT 2865U3. The second controller is an Adaptec 2120S controller. After installing the second controller and booting the system, the SuSE hardware tool alerts me that new hardware has been found, identifies the controller correctly, and offers to configure it for me. I accept and the YaST > Hardware > Disk Controller module is launched. But only the DPT controller is listed in YaST; there is no Adaptec controller listed to configure. Now what? Thanks! Probably you can just ignore Yast and the setup message. Are any devices on the 2nd controller seen? Can you use them? (someone who has never used Yast to set up a SCSI controller... and there are two on this machine)

Hi Mark, Two questions: - - Do you have to make any adjustments in the BIOS like enabling or resource mapping it? - - What does YaST's Hardware Info module say? Sometimes Hardware Info will correctly identify a required driver/module when the relevant YaST installer doesn't cooperate. After I load it manually (modprobe,) I try running the installer again and a lot of times it'll just pick it up.
