I recently downloaded the fetchmsttfonts script using YOU. Rick, You seem to have gotten further than I did. I tried it last evening and when YOU went out for the fonts, everything came to a standstill. I am guessing it is a Sourceforge problem at this point though, as YOU works fine to process that far. Rick & Patrick, It seems the SourceForge mirror fetchmsttfonts is trying to reach is down or no longer valid. The solution is to change the URL in the fetchmsttfonts script. Change the section "FONTS=" in: /var/lib/YaST2/you/scripts/fetchmsttfonts and /var/lib/YaST2/you/mnt/i386/update/8.2/scripts/fetchmsttfonts to: FONTS=" \ http://umn.dl.sourceforge.net/sourceforge/corefonts/webdin32.exe \ http://umn.dl.sourceforge.net/sourceforge/corefonts/andale32.exe \ http://umn.dl.sourceforge.net/sourceforge/corefonts/trebuc32.exe \ http://umn.dl.sourceforge.net/sourceforge/corefonts/georgi32.exe \ http://umn.dl.sourceforge.net/sourceforge/corefonts/verdan32.exe \ http://umn.dl.sourceforge.net/sourceforge/corefonts/comic32.exe \ http://umn.dl.sourceforge.net/sourceforge/corefonts/arialb32.exe \ http://umn.dl.sourceforge.net/sourceforge/corefonts/impact32.exe \ http://umn.dl.sourceforge.net/sourceforge/corefonts/arial32.exe \ http://umn.dl.sourceforge.net/sourceforge/corefonts/times32.exe \ http://umn.dl.sourceforge.net/sourceforge/corefonts/courie32.exe \ " I checked and this mirror works :-) cheers, Marcel
This did the trick nicely! Thanks! I really missed those fonts! :) Rick On Fri, 2003-05-09 at 10:55, Marcel Broekman wrote:

Yes, it appears to be a problem on the Sourceforge server.

Maybe it's a nice idea to change the script so that it first checks if the mirror is up and if not, change to the next mirror (perhaps even the nearest)? Cheers, Marcel

I just talked to the author of fetchmsttfonts and he will do something
like that.

Cool! Now let's hope MS doesn't start being "difficult" again. BTW, what do those Japanese (?) characters behind my name and in your sig say? cheers, Marcel
