This is a really bad solution, but I think it works: create a new desktop icon (right mouse button > Create New > Link to application) then copy from /home/xyz/KDesktop to /etc/opt/kde2/share/applnk/SuSE/Internet I think the correct method is to use K-menu > Configure panel > menu editor (as root?) but it didn't work for me (the entry appears different in the menu editor, but that's all). I recompiled timidity++ with gtk support and tried to replace the menu entry. Eventually I managed with something like the method above. Better suggestions? JDL Bob B wrote

The menu editor works fine here (suse 7.3, kde 2.2.2) after I realised that the menu that pops up when I click K is in fact a submenu called 'suse' in the menu editor. Editing the submenus under 'suse' showed up immediately in the K menu regards Anders
OK, since I have the same setup, I had to try it. You're right. You can add and remove items. It went wrong for me before when I tried only to edit an existing entry: specifically change a program flag. Maybe there's a bug, but it's only a small one. JDL Anders Johansson wrote:
