Dell Poweredge 6400
I fell into one of these beasts. I haven't figured out how to get SuSE install (9.0 Pro) to recognize the SCSI drives yet. I've found on google that it can be done, but not how to do it. Any pointers? TIA Jim

It seems to be regular Adaptec devices. There are two adaptec drivers, aic7xxx and aic7xxx and aic7xxx_old. If the automatic installer fails, my first try would be to run the manual installer and try loading first one and then the other, it could be that the one the automatic installer tries fails

What kind of Controller does it have? Is a PERC Raid Controller? Dell provides linux drivers for all of their PERC Raid controllers. Also, there is Dell Sponsored mailing list for running Linux on a PowerEdge Servers that is fairly active, 15 to 20 messages a day. You can sign up for the list at http://lists.us.dell.com/mailman/listinfo/linux-poweredge Also a pretty good starting place for information on running Linux on Dell Systems is http://linux.dell.com

It has a PERC 2 controller. Thanks for the list link. I'll move my efforts to there. Jim
