SuSE 8.1 on an AMD Duron, Default kernel. GRUB2 boot loader After working flawlessly, the machine now gives a kernel panic message during boot. The messages are: Loading module reiserfs... I can manage to boot the system by having CD1 in the drive and resetting the boot drive to the CD. The following sequence of selctions works: Manual Installation Start Installation/System Boot Installed system Start Installation/Settings Boot Installed System hda4: reiserfs More than a bit cumbersome, but it works. I can boot into the Rescue System option, but what do I do then? Thanks in advance for any help. Stephen P. Do you have a separate /boot partition? or is the reiser module loaded from an initrd? Dylan
Thanks in advance for any help.
