I have installed 10.1 x86_64 (upgraded from 9.3) on 2 computers so far. One has a nice graphical grub start up screen. My main computer though looks like a DOS graphic from years ago, a half screen sized blue box with the menu choices in it, and a text message below it. It works, but I cannot see a way to enter any grub options (without going to a grub command line and entering a lot more than used to be). The other computer looks correct. I have tried comparing with no progress so far. It appears to be a part of grub stage 1.5. I cannot find a problem so far, have tried reinstalling grub, checked Yast boot loader, etc. Where is the graphic located, and any ideas to get grub to use it. One difference between the 2 is the one that works uses 1 HD, my main computer boots from software RAID. Had no problem with 9.3 though. TIA for any help / ideas. -- Joe Morris Registered Linux user 231871 -- Check the headers for your unsubscription address For additional commands send e-mail to suse-linux-e-help@suse.com Also check the archives at http://lists.suse.com Please read the FAQs: suse-linux-e-faq@suse.com
