Just an FYI, To those who don't hate Ximian :). Red Carpet 2.0 seems to integrate well into SuSE 8.2, have not had any serious installation issues, nor any serious application faults after installing, and updating to Evolution 1.3.3 beta. Quick links: http://www.ximian.com/products/redcarpet/download.html Its just Red Carpet so far. As they have messed up the links with which to download the current version for SuSE 8.2: http://www-files.ximian.com/red-carpet/suse-82-i586/ Will have to also change the install instructions to match the actual files. Running Evolution 1.3.3 beta right now, it will delete 1.2.2 that came with SuSE, but the beta has a working spell checker as well as anti-aliased fonts. Yes I do like it more than 1.2.2, but with any upgrade, do take care if you care :). Matt

Hmmm, there's really no need to delete 1.2.x if you install 1.3.x (the usr-local-bin.org packages will co-exist when I get around to doing them - work's been quite busy lately...)

And in fact, only the brave should use the 1.3.x tree for 'production' mail, as it really is beta, and could destroy your mail/contacts/house Okay, not house, but you get the idea... -- James Ogley, Webmaster, Rubber Turnip james@rubberturnip.org.uk http://www.rubberturnip.org.uk Jabber: riggwelter@myjabber.net Using Free Software since 1994, running GNU/Linux (SuSE 8.2). Where did you get the rc and rcd files? That link only points to the red-carpet rpm. I eventually tried using rc and rcd from the rcd-snap directory, but it won't run properly - won't activate (I have a subscription to red carpet express) and just locks up when trying to download files.
