I am running Suse 7.0. So far, I have downloaded every file in these two directories: ftp://ftp.suse.com/pub/suse/i386/KDE2/update_for_7.0/gra1/RPM/ and ftp://ftp.suse.com/pub/suse/i386/KDE2/update_for_7.0/k2de1/RPM/ What other directories and/or files do I need to properly install KDE2.1.1 on my computer. It looks like the k2de2 directory is mainly for extending KDE to different languages. I don't require that kind of capability. Also, it looks like the k2de3 directory has some nice additional software that I may want to add on later, but may not be essential to the basic installaion of the K Desktop Environment. Is there any documentation that provides guidance as to the necessary core files that will install KDE2.1.1 as your main window manager and desktop? I've been hunting around, but haven't come across anything that breaks it down plainly. Thanks for your time. Mike michael.flug@snet.net

Go to: http://www.suse.com/us/support/download/LinuKS/index.html You'll find the packages in downloadable form along with descriptions. And yes, the way that seemingly similar collections are stored in different places on the SuSE website is very confusing. Paul Abrahams
Thanks for the compass, Paul. I'm on my way. Mike michael.flug@snet.net
