Dear All, I have been looking everywhere for the version 1.2.7 xmms-diskwriter for suse to match the xmms player 1.2.7 version that I have on my Suse 8.2. Does anyone know where to get this version? Thanks. Marcia

Not sure I understand. I have 8.2, xmms 1.2.7, and the diskwriter is an output plugin available in the SuSE package, no need to get it from anywhere. Just choose it as the output (and configure where you want to write the files.). It works well, and is a great way to turn an mp3 into a wav files for cd audio. It is so fast. -- Joe Morris New Tribes Mission Email Address: Joe_Morris@ntm.org Web Address: http://www.mydestiny.net/~joe_morris Registered Linux user 231871 God said, I AM that I AM. Dear Mr. Morris, Thank you for your prompt reply. Yes, I have the same xmms 1.2.7 installed on my Suse 8.2 as well but I cannot find the xmms-diskwriter plugin anywhere. There is no option for it and I cannot find it on my disks or through yast. Is it within another xmms package such as xmms-kde or xmms-gnome2? I have not installed those just the plain ol' xmms and I believe all of the other related plugins from the disk. Maybe I missed something, but when I did a search within yast for the xmms-diskwriter there was nothing. I would think it would be somewhere on mine as well. I will keep looking. I must be overlooking something. Thanks. Marcia

Dear Joe Morris, Well, thank you again. I installed more xmms related items last night and I guess one of them did the trick. It is there now. I am not sure what package got it installed, but I am happy anyway since it is installed. Thanks for the help. Marcia

Did an rpm -ql xmms and it showed that libdisk_writer.so was part of xmms. Just keep in mind for future reference if you ever need it.
