yes. I completed the wiki to show what have already been said in this thread. The compiz pages of the wiki need probably be rewritten, but this should be done by anybody having used it on pre-10.3 distro, because now it's really simple the forks between compiz and bery are (where?) quite disturbing also thanks jdd -- http://www.dodin.net -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org
So I managed to make this work. However, I still have some problems. 1) There is no more really several desktops like usually, only one larger (I can setup more, but I see no difference). So I don't have anymore small icons on the (8) virtual desktops I have on the taskbar. I *have* the 8 desktops or at least 8 places in the cube :-), but I can no more identify at a glance in which desktop is my desired application 2) is there a way to disable the 3d desktop, I prefere the usual system for day to day use (and the 3d for the "wow" effect at demo's :-) thanks jdd -- http://www.dodin.net -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org

1. rpm -e compiz-manager (if you are using this method) 2. gnome-xgl-switch --disable-xgl (if using Xg) See http://en.opensuse.org/Compiz_Fusion Ciao -J -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org

in fact if the window manager is on kwin at boot time, it starts compiz, not kwin. One have to go to compiz then kwin again jdd -- http://www.dodin.net -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org
