hello! has anyone compiled gaim-0.6* in suse 8.1? except for the 0.60 package found in suse.com/pub/people..., there is no way i can either compile and build a rpm or find a precompiled rpm on the internet. Hi Alin As far as I remember SuSE 8.1 has the Gnome2.0 packages only. To compile the new versions of gaim (those with icon in the system tray) you need Gnome 2.2 libraries. Unfortunately, it seems that SuSE mantains only KDE packages up-to-date while for a new version of Gnome you have to buy a new distro version (8.2 in this case) :-(. Ovidiu
