Im having a very strange problem, i have had it since i started to use suse as masq firewall. If im logged into the masq machine it sometimes "hangs" the ssh/telnet session for like 15-20 seconds, then catches up again.. and it does that a couple of times every hour.. But its not just that, it sometimes looses contact with the windows machine, or rather, the windows machine looses contact with the masq box and the rest of the internet.. very annoying.. what could be wrong ? Per I'm not sure if tis is your problem, but I had soemthing similar. I have my win2000 machine telneted my linux 6.3 box, pretty much all day. Sometimes they would disconnect. I traced it down to te fact that my SuSE box was nice'ing the telnet session since it was inactive so long, then since my LAN card would not respond quickly enough when woken up due to my windws2000 machine using AMP and the connection would time out..
