There's nothing new about that. Historically, only a small percentage of the population voted -- a primary reason being that until the federal government got into the business of wealth transfer, the average person didn't have much personal interest in who was in charge of the federal government because the federal government wasn't trying to play mommy and daddy and rich uncle and demented step-sister all at the same time.

My most sincere apologies... Mozilla address-completion was leading to putting up the wrong address (why are the opensuse lists the ONLY ones I've ever been on in which replies go to the person writing the post, rather than to the list???) Thanks! :-) There is an extension for mozilla / thunderbird to add the required "reply to list" feature. It has been mentioned here sometime, but I don't remember exactly which one it is. Should be included in the distro, but I don't think it is. (On a side note, all the lists I'm subscribed to behave this way, except one, I think - but lets not argue that point, please: its an endless, useless discussion) - -- Cheers, Carlos E. Don't start this silly discussion again, we had it plenty of times, just search in the archive. The list manager is not supposed to change any "Reply-To" header! Its current setup is correct.
