Hi all, I just upgraded (?) to twinview with a ti4600 dual dvi 3200x1200. Its nice except my consoles are black once init 5 hits w/the nvidia module. Nvidia is not even replying to my emails. Any ideas?

Also, since using twinview, all my gnome based programs have this rediculous font size. I can change it by starting in a gnome session (no kdm) but gnome is really worthless and ineffiecient for me. I simply change the 4 fonts to what i'd like (sans 8-10) and ymessenger , gtk-gnutella etc are all fine. I exit and start kdm and bam! back to rediculous (stretched 2 twice width?) fonts. Also, my kaffine player now wants to stretch video in a similar scale... Any ideas/etc greatly appreciated... Thanks, -- Arden Bohanec

You should visit the Nvidia-Linux forum : http://www.nvnews.net I fighted a few days with this probled of garbled text console. First if you want to work with the Nvidia driver, you have to disable any other fb in the kernel (vesofb, rivafb ...). Second I was unable to work with the latest releases (ie 5336 ...), the last release which works is 4620. We had long discussions about this on the forum, and the problem should be fixed in the next release. Notice that if you don't intend to use TV out (which works well in 1024x768) you'll perhaps be able to use the last releases if you disable TV out in /etc/XF86Config : see the exact option in the forum.
