Did you do this via YaST? Did you refresh the source? That's what was (and as of this morning, is still) failing.

Cool, sorry to Randal, I am a bit agitatted and tired, missing things, and noy thinking clearly, But your right all the mirrors are slow slow slow... I wonder, I am desperate to download these packages, it's been two days no sleep and no go home for me.. isn't there a DAP for linux, I am using it on a windows PC which keeps crashing everytime I go near it.. but the point is DAP is downloading the files 1 by 1 that yast has been on for two days at a speed of les than 0.5KB/s, yet dap has split the files and is hitting a 9+kb/s speed.. It's an insult to my linux box... Any Ideas? Chadley

I'm the OP and I mentioned no host name or path for the Packman repository. I'm using the one published in the list of mirrors on the OpenSuSE site at http://www.opensuse.org/YaST_package_repository. I tried several of the mirrors and the situation was the same at all of them.

This is -not- setup as a YaST source yet. It is setup for a different/newer install source. Kind of like how apt-get uses a different structure than yast-source. -- Ken Schneider UNIX since 1989, linux since 1994, SuSE since 1998

The maintainer must have taken away the config for using YaST as it was there before. Also 10.1 will have a new package system using Smart. Perhaps that is what will be used in the future. Recently packman has not provided the decoding software because of laws in country the site is in. There were only links to another site that had the dvdcss2 decoding software. This has been the case for about a year. -- Ken Schneider UNIX since 1989, linux since 1994, SuSE since 1998

They haven't been on packman for quite some time. What is on Packman are instructions on how to obtain the routines and to install them.

I've checked 5, of which only Univ.Erlangen seems to have the necessary files for 10.0. They all seem to be OK for 9.3 though.
